COVE is proud to announce support from RBC for the OffshoreWind4Kids (OW4K) program, which COVE delivers in Canada through its partnership with OffshoreWind4Kids, based in Belgium.

RBC is helping COVE scale the OW4K program across the Maritimes, extending its reach and impact as a leading education and workforce development initiative that prepares youth for careers in renewable energy and offshore wind. Expansion into Prince Edward Island is planned in the near future.

Through hands-on programming, COVE and OW4K introduce youth across Atlantic Canada to clean energy technologies, marine infrastructure, and the career paths shaping the future of the marine economy.

Program Impact Since 2023:

🔹 Engaged over 3,000 students across Nova Scotia and New Brunswick

🔹 Delivered 7 community Beach Days introducing families to clean energy technologies

🔹 Supported 4 student teams from NSCC and Dalhousie University competing internationally in the Floating Wind Challenge

🔹 Team Tetra Turbine (Dalhousie University) placed 3rd globally and won 1st place for Cost Efficiency at Full Scale in finals held in Belgium

RBC’s support demonstrates a strong commitment to building a skilled, diverse workforce essential to Canada’s net-zero transition. This investment in early experiential learning aims to strengthen the talent pipeline critical to innovation and growth in the clean energy economy.
