COVE

From Nova Scotia to Belgium, team Tetra Turbine from Dalhousie University made a bold mark at the hashtag#2025FloatingWindChallenge!

As the smallest team in the competition, they stood out with an ambitious Tension Leg Platform design—earning third place overall and winning the award for Best Cost Efficiency at Full Scale. Their success highlights the value of hands-on, real-world experience in preparing students for possible careers in hashtag#CleanEnergy.

COVE’s partnership with OffshoreWind4Kids (OW4K) has been key to supporting post-secondary teams like Tetra Turbine while introducing thousands of youth across hashtag#AtlanticCanada to hashtag#OffshoreWind through beach days, school visits, and student challenges.

Thanks to new support from RBC, the OW4K program is expanding across the Maritimes—scaling its impact and inspiring the next generation of hashtag#MarineRenewableEnergy leaders. This momentum is fueled by ongoing investment from both RBC and the Government of Nova Scotia, enabling COVE to reach more youth across the region.
