When I began my internship abroad at OffshoreWind4Kids in Brussels 🇧🇪 I didn't realise how interesting it would be! In the past 3 weeks I already did:
🇳🇱 I helped Dr Ir William Beuckelaers organising a workshop at the Brunel office in Den Bosch to let children discover the engineering work and challenges in offshore wind.
🇫🇷 Then I attended to ISFOG conference in Nantes, decorating the venue with different offshore platform scale models
🇩🇪 And finally this weekend I went to Cuxhaven with Rachel Keane where we set up an OffshoreWind4Kids stand at the family day at Siemens Gamesa where I also have the chance to visit their impressive nacelles manufacturing plant
📐 When we aren’t organizing events my main task is to redesign the OffshoreWind4Kids Structures with the aim to align the design more with the full scale versions whilst keeping them kid-friendly 🚸 I'm improving my CAD and 3D printing skills by experimenting and implementing the different designs to make the best prototypes possible 🌟
