Celebrating the Success of the Trinity Floating Wind Team! 🌬️ 🌊

Congratulations to the EirGrid sponsored Trinity Floating Wind team at Trinity College Dublin after their recent success at the Floating Wind Challenge in hashtag#Belgium. 🇧🇪 🤝

The global competition invites students from around the world to design the most innovative floating wind turbine.🌍

The team came away with a variety of awards:

🥇 1st place - Power Generation Efficiency

🥇 1st Place - Sustainable Transport

🥈 2nd Place - Best All-round Model

TF Wind Team is Ireland's first renewable energy student team and founded by two EirGrid interns Sean O'Connor and Jeremy Browne. Throughout the year their team of 20 undergraduates have worked incredibly hard designing, building, and testing their model, and their hard work has paid off!👷 🔧

We were proud to jointly sponsor this team with ESB. Hands-on projects like this are invaluable to young engineers, helping to promote the renewable energy sector while providing unique opportunities to be inventive in shaping a more sustainable future. ⚡
