On July 9th, our team from KU Leuven Brugge competed in the Floating Wind Challenge, organized by OffshoreWind4Kids and we're proud to say we won the main award: "Best Structure"!
Together with: Amber Ryckier, Dhont Arne, Brent Philipsen, Brecht Willem, Emiel Bonte, Jens Vyvey, Mohiminul Chowdhury,PMP, Nathan Vandermaeten, Sebastian Baleci, Wouter Descheemaeker and myself, we designed and built a floating wind turbine that impressed the jury with its stability, power efficiency and installation.
It was an incredible learning experience and a great reward for all the hard work we put in over the past few weeks.
