Floating Wind Challenge Day 2

✌️ On day 2 of the floating wind challenge, we ran our first conference with presentations from the 14 teams and partner organisations 🤝 A few highlights ✨

🇯🇵 We got a taste of the IBO Gyudon concept, which promised to be quick, economical and delicious, just like the Gyudon recipe 🍜

🇮🇪 Trinity floating wind team gave us that 𝐰𝐨𝐰-factor with their hinge-mechanism concept 😯

🇩🇰 Njord from DTU presented their dual rotor concept, which required rethinking of the entire aerodynamic systems (with counter-rotating blades) and led them to improve the blade designs 📏

🇫🇷 In matching Breton shirts, team Eólita presented their semi-sub concept with retractable counterweight ╈

We also got a quick intro to our jury partners: Bekaert, Parkwind, Jan De Nul Group, Smulders and Seaway7 - and the supporting partners: Vestas, EDF and ABN AMRO Bank N.V.
