🚀 Last week, I had the opportunity to take part in the Floating Wind Challenge 2025 an unforgettable, hands-on experience in the world of offshore wind energy.
Together with my teammates Raed, Arnold, and Isalys, we tested our floating wind turbine prototype in real sea conditions off the coast of Zeebrugge, Belgium. 🌊
We were proud to receive an award during the challenge. But beyond the recognition, the most rewarding moment was seeing our structure float and remain stable against the waves and wind. That sight alone made all our efforts worthwhile. 💪
This competition brought together teams from around the world to tackle technical and environmental challenges with creativity, teamwork, and determination. It was an inspiring week filled with learning, innovation, and collaboration.
🙏 A heartfelt thank you to ENSTA (Brest campus) and to all the mentors and professors of the MS EEMR program for their continued support and guidance throughout the project.
👏 And of course, sincere thanks to Dr Ir William Beuckelaers and OffshoreWind4Kids teams for organizing such a meaningful and impactful event, one that pushes us to think differently and advance offshore innovation.
