Following the previous post yesterday, I would like to highlight our activities made on Day-3 of the Wind Expo.

3) The 2nd Offshore Wind Student Day

(1) Hybrid Seminar + Networking

The event which started in June 2024 aims to create opportunities for young people to think about “Energy” and a career in Offshore Wind, whatever the subject they are studying now.

45 students from 23 universities participated onsite/online and passionate and informative presentations based on their real experience were given by the following speakers.

After the seminar event in the morning, students who participated onsite visited the exhibition booths at the Wind Expo.

(2) Students' presentations of the ”Floating Wind Challenge” jointly organised with The Nippon Foundation Ocean Innovation Consortium hashtag#OIC

The following four teams which consist of multiple universities, made a presentation of the concept and shared the lessons learned from their experience.

・Two teams who participated in the final competition in 2024 and were awarded.

- WADATSUMI

・Two teams who will participate in the final competition (2025 edition) to be held in hashtag#Zeebruges, hashtag#Berguin this July.

- MOZU

- IBO Gyudon

This was a quite unique opportunity for both university teams and the industry. Hope we continue supporting the activities of young talents who are ambitiously working on offshore wind energy.

第2回Offshore Wind Student Dayが、Wind Expo3日目に開催されました。

午前のハイブリッドセミナーには、23の大学から45名の大学生・大学院生が参加、実体験に基づいた熱意ある講演が行われました。

現地参加をされた多くの学生はWind Expoに初来場でしたが、洋上風力産業にかかわる企業の多さや国際性、また業界の勢いを実感することができたのではと期待しております。

学生のブース訪問に快く協力くださった皆様、ありがとうございました。

午後に行われた学生発表、「Floating Wind Challenge 2024成果報告会 & 2025壮行会」も大変良い取り組みとなりました。

洋上風力分野に意欲的に取り組む学生の活動を、業界としてサポートする取り組みのきっかけとなったのではないかと考えております。

3日間の「洋上風力人材育成フォーラム」の特別企画にさまざまな形でご協力いただいた皆様、ありがとうございました。
