In addition to industry guest lectures, our University of Melbourne students in CVEN90071 Offshore Wind Geotechnical Engineering also get to enjoy various hand-on activities. During a recent practical session, they conducted T-bar and piezocone penetrometer tests, gaining valuable experience in data interpretation. Additionally, our students enjoyed an engaging field trip to Port Melbourne Beach, where they installed various fixed-bottom and floating hashtag#offshorewind foundations. These experiences not only reinforce theoretical knowledge but also foster practical skills that prepare our students for future careers in the offshore wind industry.
